Titanium
Face Drivers
Magnum
900

This model is primarily designed
for the slower swingers who need a high loft driver to
maximize their distance. Typically those best suited for it
swing less than 80 mph and carry the ball in the air about
170 yards or less. However it can also greatly aid those
players with higher swing speeds who need more carry
but have difficulty getting the ball up in the air with
their particular swings.

The relative narrow face width of
99 mm’s will help slicers overcome inertial drag and turn the
face to the square position at impact.
On the other hand the 99 mm is
sufficient to keep the twist at a minimum with an off-center
hit.
The body of the head is painted
metallic black to reduce sun glare.
The head has an arrow on top for
aiming and to help proper alignment at address.

These shafts tend to work well
with players who have intermediate swing planes – not very
upright or very flat. They also work well for players with
intermediate tempos - not very fast or quite slow. In
exhaustive studies done at True Temper in the early 90’s it
was found that swing speed is not the sole consideration in
shaft selection. The results showed that it is not how fast
you swing but how you swing fast – how you load the shaft and
how you release its stored energy – that is also a vital
consideration in shaft selection.
Fast tempo
players should consider a one step increase in shaft flex, ie. firm
to stiff, or regular to firm, etc., when selecting a proper
flex.
Flat plane swingers who battle a hook should also consider a one
step increase in shaft flex.
Players
with very upright swing planes should consider a one step decrease
in shaft flex, i.e. stiff to firm, or firm to regular, when
selecting a proper flex.
And players
with slow tempos should also consider a one step decrease in shaft
flex.
